Texas Diesel Company is 12 miles north of Melissa on US-75 — about a 15-minute drive from central Melissa to our shop. We work with a number of regular Melissa customers, both for daily-driver service and for the construction trucks supporting the area’s continued residential growth.
Why Melissa residents come to us
Melissa’s growth has brought a wave of new homeowners to the area, many bringing diesel pickups with them as primary or secondary vehicles. The diesel-specialist shops in the broader Collin County area are limited, and the closest dealer service for Ford, GM, and Dodge requires more drive time than coming to us.
We routinely have Melissa customers tell us they tried somewhere closer first — a general repair shop, a chain, or a dealer with a long wait — and ended up at our shop for either better service or because the previous shop couldn’t actually diagnose the issue. Our 15-minute drive trade-off becomes the easy choice once people know we’re here.
Who we serve in Melissa
- Daily-driver owners — Melissa residents whose diesel pickup is the primary household vehicle, especially common given the truck-friendly demographics of the area
- Residential construction — Melissa is in a sustained growth phase, and the work trucks supporting that need consistent maintenance and emergency repair
- Small fleet operators — landscapers, HVAC, plumbing, and trades businesses with diesel service trucks
- Truck enthusiasts — Melissa has a healthy diesel community, and we see plenty of performance and custom build work from area owners
What we do
Full diesel repair and performance:
- Engine work for Ford Power Stroke (6.0L, 6.4L, 6.7L, 7.3L), Cummins (5.9L, 6.7L), Duramax (LB7 through L5P)
- Transmissions — rebuilds and upgrades for Ford, GM, and Dodge platforms
- Performance hard-parts — fuel system upgrades, intake and filtration, hard parts (billet turbos, CP3 conversions, ARP studs). Tuning is a specialized domain we don’t do in-house — happy to point you to trusted tuners.
- DCR conversions for the 6.7L Power Stroke (see DCR Conversion)
- Custom work — lift kits, wheels and tires, accessories
- Maintenance — full menu including oil changes, fluid analysis, alignments
If your truck has a specific code or symptom, the research library likely has a write-up on it.
