About Texas Diesel Company

Diesel-only mechanics serving the Dallas–Fort Worth corridor since 2015. 30+ years of combined experience across Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax platforms.

A diesel shop, not a general shop

Diesel engines don’t behave like gas engines. The tools are different, the diagnostic process is different, and the margin for error is different. A CP4 pump failure on a 6.7L Power Stroke is not the same problem as a P0193 code on an LB7 Duramax — and a shop that works on both needs to know the difference cold.

That’s the premise Texas Diesel Company was built on. We don’t split attention between light-truck alignments and diesel performance. We work on diesels. Full stop.

Experience

Our mechanics bring more than 30 years of combined experience to the bay, and the shop itself has been operating in Van Alstyne since 2018. That shows up in the way we diagnose — we’ve seen most of the common faults enough times to know which ones chase tails and which ones don’t. It also shows up in the parts we trust: Garrett turbos, ARP head studs, Fass fuel systems, AirDog lift pumps, S&B filters, Industrial Injection injectors, Southbend clutches, Suncoast transmissions. None of that is sponsored name-dropping. It’s what we install because it lasts.

What we do

  • Engine diagnostics and repair — Powerstroke 6.0L / 6.4L / 6.7L / 7.3L, Cummins 5.9L / 6.7L, Duramax LB7 through L5P. Factory scan tools, not generic OBD readers.
  • Performance hard-parts — billet turbos, CP3 and DCR fuel-pump conversions, ARP stud kits, intake and filtration (S&B, AEM, Banks, Volant). We don’t tune in-house — tuning is a specialized domain and we’ll point you to trusted tuners when that’s the right next step.
  • Transmissions — rebuilds and upgrades for 47RFE, 48RFE, 68RFE, Allison 1000, Ford 10R140.
  • Maintenance — oil changes, fluid analysis, alignments, injector flow tests, glow-plug work.
  • Custom — lift kits, wheels and tires, accessories.
  • Rentals — so you’re not stranded while your truck is in the bay.

How we work

We send a written estimate before we turn a wrench. That’s not a marketing line — it’s the actual workflow. You drop the truck, we diagnose, we walk through what we found and what it involves, and you approve before we proceed. We keep you in the loop by text, email, or phone — whichever works for you. No back-end surprises.

Every diesel we service gets a warranty on parts, and we don’t sell service packages you didn’t ask for. If your truck needs an oil change, it gets an oil change. If it needs a head gasket, we’ll tell you the honest truth about the repair scope and the options — OEM versus aftermarket, complete rebuild versus targeted repair, whether the insurance route is realistic. We keep both our workload and our customers by being straight.

Where we are

We’re based in Van Alstyne, TX, about 50 miles north of Dallas on US-75, and we serve the corridor from Gainesville through Durant plus the broader Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours; calling ahead locks a bay.

Ready When You Are.

Tell us what your truck is doing. We’ll walk through it with you, send a written estimate before turning a wrench, and keep you in the loop through the job.
