Texas Diesel Company offers rental trucks to keep you moving — both for our service customers (so you’re not stranded while your truck is in the shop) and for the general public who need a rental for any other reason.
Rentals are available for as little as a day or up to a month.
How to reserve
Call us at (903) 292-0400 to check availability and reserve a truck. We’ll walk through the requirements (below), confirm dates, and reserve the truck for you.
Requirements
To rent a truck from us, you need to meet these requirements:
- Full coverage insurance (liability AND comprehensive) that does not exclude rentals. We will call your insurance provider when you arrive to verify coverage before releasing the truck.
- Valid, unsuspended driver’s license at all times during the rental period
- Additional drivers must be listed on our insurance policy and on the rental paperwork. They cannot be added after the fact — list them at the start of the rental.
Mileage and usage
- Daily mileage limits apply to all rentals. The limit varies by truck and rental term — we’ll explain at pickup.
- Excess mileage beyond the daily limit is charged at a per-mile rate disclosed at the time of rental
- Towing is allowed with our trucks equipped with factory tow hitches (check with us at reservation)
- Some 3/4-ton and 1-ton trucks have gooseneck hitches for fifth-wheel and gooseneck towing (availability varies)
Responsibility while in your possession
When the rental truck is in your possession, you are 100% responsible for the truck as if it were your own. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Hail damage
- Damage from weather events
- Accidents regardless of fault
- Mechanical damage from misuse
- Loss or theft
This is why the full-coverage insurance requirement is non-negotiable — it protects you in the event of damage during the rental period.
Pricing
Rates vary by truck class and rental duration. We’ll quote you when you reserve. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates available — longer terms typically come with better daily-equivalent pricing. Final pricing depends on the truck, the term, and any optional add-ons.
For service clients
If your truck is in our shop for repair and you need transportation, we’ll work with you on rental availability. Mention you’re a service client when you call — we may be able to coordinate the rental timing with your repair schedule for the smoothest handoff.
For non-service clients
You don’t need to be a service customer to rent from us. The fleet is available to the general public on the same terms.
Reserve a truck
Call (903) 292-0400 during shop hours to reserve. Same-day rentals are sometimes available depending on fleet availability — but reservation in advance is the best way to ensure the truck you need is available when you need it.
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM • Friday 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM • Saturday and Sunday closed
If you need a rental outside our hours for a service-customer situation (truck went down on a Friday afternoon for a Monday repair, etc.), call us during business hours to set it up in advance.
