Texas Diesel Company is 22 miles north of McKinney on US-75 — about a 28-minute drive straight up the highway to our shop in Van Alstyne. McKinney is one of our larger customer-base cities. The combination of strong residential growth, an active diesel community, and the lack of nearby specialized diesel shops means a steady stream of McKinney owners coming to us for the work other shops can’t or won’t do.
Why McKinney residents come to us
McKinney is the Collin County seat and one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, but the diesel-specialist landscape inside McKinney is thin. The choices are general repair shops that occasionally touch diesels, dealer service centers with long wait times for non-warranty work, or the specialty shops further south in the metroplex that command longer scheduling windows.
For most McKinney customers, the 28-minute drive north up US-75 to us is the better trade-off — shorter waits, real diesel-only specialization, and OEM factory diagnostic capability for Ford, GM, and Dodge in-house. The drive is straightforward (US-75 the whole way) and a lot of our McKinney customers schedule the trip around other errands or drop off the truck and we’ll get them a rental.
